The National Board of Examinations – NBE has released the notification for NEET MDS 2024. NEET MDS is the only official entrance exam in India for admission into Postgraduate Dental Courses - MDS. 50% of Medical PG seats of Medical Educational Institutions of Central Govt., Universities established by an Act of Parliament, Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions, Deemed Universities, Medical Institutions and universities established under an act of state governments, and Private Medical Colleges are reserved for recruitment under NEET PG.

• NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission to medical courses in India
• Seats of Medical institutions under the central government are filled by the Directorate of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India.
• Seats of Medical institutions under state governments are to be filled by respective state governments' designated authority.
• However, AIIMS, New Delhi, and other AIIMS Medical colleges are exempted from NEET PG. They conduct their own entrance exam for Medical PG courses in their respective colleges.

Important Dates of NEET MDS 2024

NEET MDS Eligibility

• The candidate should be completed a BDS degree.
• The candidate should possess a provisional BDS certificate or BDS Degree
• The candidate should have completed one year of internship or should be completed by 31st March 2024.

NEET MDS 2024 Application Form

• Application forms should be submitted only online mode, offline/printed copies by post are not allowed.
• NEET-PG 2024 Exam fee Rs. 3250/- (For SC/ST/PWD (PH) candidates) Rs. 4250/- (For General/OBC candidates)
• The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through a payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet Banking.
• Fees shall neither be refunded nor carried forward if the application for NEET MDS 2024 is rejected or Candidates remain absent from the examination or are declared ineligible.

NEET MDS 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for NEET-MDS shall comprise subjects/knowledge areas as per the Regulations issued by the Dental Council of India with prior approval of the Government of India. The syllabus for the exam shall be that of the BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabi taught during the BDS course.

NEET MDS 2024 Exam Pattern

• NEET-PG shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on a computer-based test (CBT).
• The time allotted is 3hrs.
• The examination comprises 240 Multiple Choices, single-correct response questions in English language only.
• Negative marking: There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
• During the examination, candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme indicated above.

NEET MDS 2024 Admit Card

NEET MDS 2024 Admit Card will be available from December 2022 through the official website of NEET MDS. Admission into NEET MDS Exam Hall will be allowed only by producing the original copy of the NEET MDS 2024 Admit Card along with any valid ID Proof.

NEET MDS 2024 Cut-Off Score

NBE releases the NEET MDS 2024 cutoff Score on their official website. The qualifying score of NEET MDS for the general category is 50th percentile, & 40 Percentile for SC/ST/OBC. The admission into MDS Courses of a candidate is purely based on NEET MDS 2024 Cut off Score.
