Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET) is a state-level entrance exam is led every year by Mother Teresa Women's University, Kodaikanal. Applicants are proposed to check the dates of TNSET exams appropriately which will give them precision in preparation. MTWU will direct TNSET-2025 out of 25 subjects at 16 chosen Centres of Exam spread over the state

Aspirants who qualify for the TNSET-2025 are governed by the rules and regulations stipulated for the Assistant Professors of concerned Universities/ Colleges/Institutions (Govt. / Aided/Private) of Tamil Nadu State.

TNSET 2025 Application Form

  • A candidate seeking admission to the Test (TNSET-2025) must apply online only on the website www.tnsetexam2025mtwu.in
  • Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below: (i) Passport size photograph in JPG format of a minimum of 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height); (ii) the Signature in JPG format of a minimum 4kb to 30 Kb; the dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height)
  • After filling in all the details for applying, online for TNSET-2025 the candidates have to select the option of payment of examination fee either by credit/debit card or through an e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form

TNSET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for General/ OBC (belonging to Creamy Layer) Category and 50% for OBC(belonging to Non–Creamy Layer)/ Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD-VI/HI/PH), in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in subjects like Sciences, Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Sciences, Library & Information Science, are eligible to appear for this examination.
  • Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the Master's Degree(final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also appear for this examination. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and for those who clear the TNSET 2025 examination will have to qualify within two years from the date of the TNSET 2025 Examination, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.

TNSET 2025 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Test will consist of three papers. All three papers will consist of only objective-type questions and will be held on 4th week of July 2025 in three separate sessions as under:

  • Paper I [100 Marks; 50 out of which 50 questions to be attempted; Duration: 1¼ Hrs (09.30 am to 10.45 am)]
  • Paper II [100 marks; 50 questions all are compulsory; Duration 1¼ Hrs (11.15 am to 12.30 pm)]
  • Paper III [150 marks; 50 questions all are compulsory; Duration 2½ Hrs (02.00 pm to 04.30 pm)]

It may be noted that the Hall Ticket will be uploaded on the website www.tnsetexam2025mtwu.in. No Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidates by post

The candidates should download their Hall Tickets from the above website to ascertain their venue for the Exam. No Candidate will be allowed to appear at the Exam Centre other than that allotted to him/her in the Hall Ticket

TNSET 2025 Result

TNSET 2025 Results will release on the official website after 10-15 days before the exam date. The candidate who will participate in Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test can check category-wise marks. After the completion of the examination, candidates will receive the updated results on the registered mobile numbers which they have entered while filling TNSET 2025 Application Form.
