KCR's KG to PG Dream to Take off Next Year

Beginning next academic year, the Telangana government will kick start its flagship KG to PG free education programme in a phased manner beginning with Class I, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said.
That means, each year new classes will be added to existing classes and within 12 years, schools offering up to post-graduation in English medium free of cost would be in place.
Representatives from 16 teachers? organizations called on the Chief Minister at Secretariat on Saturday and requested him to implement uniform service rules for all teachers in the state. A decision would be taken on the same after holding a meeting with the officials concerned soon.
On implementing KG to PG free education for all, the government is planning to hold a meeting with teachers, professors and educationists to chalk out plans.

Meanwhile, KCR said the government is also contemplating converting anganwadi centers into play schools across the state. Similar to that of America where even the child of the President opts for a common school system, Telangana need to develop the same.

Due to wrong policies of the previous regimes the situation of government schools in the state has become deplorable and is on the verge of shutting down. The children should look towards the government schools as against the private schools, KCR suggested.
