Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) primarily focuses on providing higher education in Tibetan language, literature, and Buddhist philosophy. It does not have a formal placement cell or a dedicated placement process like some other professional institutions.
The primary objective of CIHTS is to promote and preserve Tibetan culture and heritage, as well as provide quality education in related fields. However, CIHTS graduates do have opportunities in various fields, including academia, research, translation and interpretation, cultural preservation, and community development.
CIHTS graduates proficient in Tibetan and other relevant languages may find opportunities in translation services, government organizations, international organizations, or cultural exchange programs since there is a demand for qualified translators and interpreters.
Although, some CIHTS graduates also choose to work as freelancers, offering their expertise in translation, interpretation, content writing, or teaching. Others may explore entrepreneurial ventures related to Tibetan arts, crafts, tourism, or cultural exchange.
