Jspm’s Rajarshi Shahu  College of Engineering– Scholarship

JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering in Tathawade, Pune offers various scholarships to its students. These scholarships are provided to deserving and eligible candidates, including government and private scholarship schemes

Scholarship Provided by Government of India-

  1. Special Quota: In accordance with DTE regulations, candidates from the Northeast and J&K states are eligible for a special quota.
  2. Scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students- This scholarship is offered in accordance with government regulations. If these students choose to apply for engineering admissions, the admissions cell arranges a special seminar for them to inform them about programs and scholarships.
  3. Differently abled: In accordance with the guidelines in Clause 39 of the Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights, and Full Participation Act of 1995, 3% of the sanctioned intake capacity of all institutions falling under CAP is set aside for applicants with disabilities.
  4. For Women: Female candidates are entitled to 30% of the Maharashtra State CAP seats. Economically Weaker Sections: For each course, 5% of seats are set aside under the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS).
  5.  EBC: Under the regulations of the Maharashtra government, students who belong to the economically backward class (EBC) also receive a fee reduction.
  6. Minority Community: The "State and Central Government Minority Scholarship" is available to students who identify as members of minority groups, including as Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis, or Jain.
  7. EWS: Section on Economic Weaker. In this category, 6 out of the 60 students in the batch are admitted, and each student receives a 50% waiver of the total expenses.

The tuition fee waiver scheme (TFWS). This program waives tuition payments in full.

Private Scholarships-

  1. LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarships: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) sponsors these merit scholarships for engineering students, which are intended for deserving individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
  2. NTPC Scholarship Program: The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) established this engineering scholarship program, which is intended for worthy applicants from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes and students with physical disabilities. It was established with the intention of giving them financial support to assist in forming their careers. Students in their second year of engineering who fit these criteria are eligible for this specific scholarship.
  3. Indian Oil Corporation Scholarships: Under the auspices of their Indian Oil Educational Scholarship program, IOCL, another renowned firm, awards 300 scholarships to deserving engineering students in India. Selected students receive scholarships worth INR 3,000 per month for four months, with the awards being given solely on the basis of merit.
  4. Tata Scholarship for Engineering Students: The Tata Education and Development Trust, supported by the globally recognized Tata Group, offers scholarships to deserving Indian engineering students.
  5. Central Sector Scholarship Program for University and College Students -The main goal of the central government's and the Department of Human Resources Development's (HED) scholarship program is to assist worthy students with limited financial resources in covering a portion of their fixed costs while they pursue graduate and postgraduate degrees.
  6. IET India Scholarship: Established by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), this prize was created to recognize and honor excellence among meritorious second and third-year undergraduate engineering students.
  7. ONGC Scholarships- for Students Who Are SC/ST This scholarship is offered by the nation's top energy company, Oil Natural Gas Commission, to financially support worthy Indian students who fall into the SC/ST and OBC categories. Female students are eligible to receive 50% of the scholarship.
  8. Leela Poonawala: Girls students are eligible for special scholarships from the Poonawala group and SERUM institutes.
  9. Cummins Scholarship: Based on merit, the Cummins Group offers scholarships to students who are economically disadvantaged.
