HP PAT 2026 COUNSELING

HP PAT 2026 counseling will be conducted online tentatively starting in the second week of June 2026 on the official HP Tech Board website (hptechboard.com). It is mandatory for qualified candidates to participate in the counseling process to secure admission to polytechnic courses.

Counseling Process Overview

  • Registration: Candidates must register online for counseling using their HP PAT roll number and other credentials.
  • Choice Filling: Registered candidates fill in their preferred courses and colleges in order of priority.
  • Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit (rank in HP PAT), category reservation, and availability of seats in preferred institutes.
  • Document Verification & Reporting: Candidates who receive seat allotment must report to the allotted institution with original documents for verification and fee payment.

Counseling Rounds

  • Usually, the process includes two main rounds of counseling followed by spot rounds to fill vacant seats.
  • Candidates not satisfied with first round allotment or not allotted seats can participate in the second round with the option to modify choices.
  • Spot counseling is conducted offline for final remaining vacancies.
