SLAT COUNSELING 2026

The SLAT 2026 counselling process is conducted by Symbiosis Law Schools (Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, Nagpur) after the declaration of the SLAT exam results. It is a crucial stage in admission where shortlisted candidates are assessed further through Personal Interviews (PI) to evaluate communication skills, awareness, and aptitude for law studies. The final admission is based on a combination of SLAT score and PI performance, ensuring a merit-based and transparent selection process. Candidates must strictly follow counselling schedules, document verification procedures, and seat acceptance rules to secure admission.

SLAT 2026 Counselling Process

Step 1: Shortlisting

  • After the SLAT 2026 result, each Symbiosis Law School releases its cut-off.
  • Candidates who meet the cut-off are shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI).

Step 2: Personal Interview (PI)

  • Conducted online or offline depending on the campus.
  • PI evaluates:
    • Communication and presentation skills
    • Awareness of current affairs and legal developments
    • Logical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Duration: ~15–20 minutes per candidate.

Step 3: Merit List Preparation

  • Final merit = SLAT Score (70 marks) + PI Score (30 marks)
  • Each campus publishes its own merit list.

Step 4: Admission Offer & Fee Payment

  • Candidates on the merit list receive admission offer letters.
  • Must pay the admission fee within the stipulated deadline to confirm the seat.

Step 5: Document Verification

  • Required documents include:
    • SLAT 2026 Scorecard & Admit Card
    • Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets
    • Transfer / Migration Certificate
    • Category / PwD Certificate (if applicable)
    • Passport / OCI / NRI proof (for international candidates)

Step 6: Waitlist / Vacant Seats

  • If seats remain vacant, waitlisted candidates are called for admission in subsequent rounds.

Q1: Is counselling centralized for all SLS campuses?

Ans: No, counselling is conducted separately by each campus.

Ans: Yes, but admission is allowed in only one campus.

Ans: SLAT Score – 70 marks, PI – 30 marks.

Q4: Are international candidates part of SLAT counselling?

Ans: International candidates apply through SCIE, not through SLAT counselling.

Q5: What happens if I miss my PI date?
