TG EDCET 2026 Syllabus

TG EDCET SYLLABUS 2026 

The Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG EDCET 2026) syllabus is designed to assess candidates’ subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, language skills, computer awareness, and general awareness. It is based on the Telangana State Curriculum up to Class 10 for content subjects and graduation-level knowledge for methodology subjects.

  • Vocabulary: Synonyms, Antonyms
  • Transformation of Sentences (Simple, Compound, Complex)
  • Direct and Indirect Speech

  • Indian History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economy, General Policy, Scientific Research
  • World and Indian Current Affairs
  • Scientific Outlook and Environmental Knowledge
  • Contemporary Educational Issues and Policies.

TG EDCET 2026 – Syllabus FAQs

Q1. What is the syllabus for TG EDCET 2026?

Ans. The syllabus covers General English, General Knowledge & Educational Issues, Teaching Aptitude, Computer Awareness, and Subject Content (Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, and English) based on the Telangana State curriculum up to Class 10 and graduation-level methodology subjects.

Q2. Is the TG EDCET 2026 syllabus different for all candidates?

Ans. The common sections (General English, GK, Teaching Aptitude, Computer Awareness) are the same for everyone, but the subject content depends on the methodology chosen (Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, or English).

Q3. What is the level of subject questions in the exam?

Ans. Subject content questions will be based on the Telangana State Class 1–10 syllabus, while methodology-based questions may include basic graduation-level knowledge.

Q5. Will the English section be compulsory for all?

Ans. Yes, General English (20 marks) is compulsory for all candidates. Additionally, candidates who choose English Methodology will get subject-related questions in detail.
