The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2026 is a state-level examination conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Government of Tamil Nadu. It is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates who wish to teach in primary (Classes I–V) and upper primary (Classes VI–VIII) schools across the state.

Steps of Application

Applicants must use the following method to apply online for the TNTET exam:

  • Visit at trb.tn.gov.in
  • Click on the ‘TNTET 2025 Online Application Form’ link
  • Select the "Online Application Form" option.
  • Select the "New User" tab.
  • Pay close attention to the instructions and acknowledge the declaration.
  • Complete the registration form completely.
  • Proceed to complete the TNTET application.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the passport-sized photo (20–60 KB) and signature (10–30 KB) in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the form and save it.
