Counseling for WBJEE 2026 will take place online. Following the announcement of the results, official dates will be made. To get admitted, eligible applicants must take part in counseling. Detailed Step-by-Step Process

  1. Online Registration (One-time for Rounds 1–2)
  • Visit wbjeeb.nic.in → WBJEE Counselling 2026 portal → Login with WBJEE Application No./JEE Roll No. + Password.
  • Verify details → Pay Rs 500 non-refundable counselling fee (net banking/credit/debit card/UPI only).
  • Note: JEE Main candidates register separately using CRL rank; no dual registration.
  1. Choice Filling & Locking
  • Select colleges/courses in order of preference (no limit—fill 100+ for better chances).
  • Arrange by priority (top govt colleges first: Jadavpur, Kalyani, etc.); save frequently.
  • Lock choices by deadline—auto-locking if missed; no changes post-deadline.
  1. Seat Allotment (Round-wise)
  • Allotment based on: Rank (GMR prioritized > SMR > JEE CRL), choices, category, seat matrix.
  • Download allotment letter from portal → Check college/course/branch assigned.
  • Rounds:
    • Round 1: Initial allotment.
    • Round 2: Upgradation for Float candidates (higher preference if available).
    • Mop-up: Fresh registration for unallotted/vacant seats (no Float option).
