Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College provides various scholarship opportunities for its students. These scholarships are available at the state and national levels, including NSP (National Scholarship Portal) and SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship). 

Many students at JGEC have received the SVMCM scholarship. Students with financial needs are encouraged to apply for scholarships to help meet their educational expenses. Following is the list of some of the scholarships available in this institute.

• SVMCM Scholarship:A scholarship amount of ?60,000 per year is available for B.Tech students.
• Confident & Professional Personality Scholarship (CPPS):Specifically, for 3rd-year Civil Engineering students, initiated in 2013.
• Power Engineering Scholarship (PES):Exclusively for 3rd-year Electrical Engineering students, started in 2013.
• Relief & Support Scholarship (RSS):Open to 3rd-year Engineering students from all disciplines, initiated in 2014.
• Rama Prasanna Biswas – Goodwill Scholarship:For 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering students only, started in 2014.
• Souvik Pal Memorial Scholarship:For 1st and 2nd-year Engineering students from all disciplines, started in 2014.
