Application/Admission Process:

• Entrance Exams: JGEC accepts WBJEE scores for B.Tech admissions, and WB PGET or GATE scores for M.Tech admissions. Candidates with a valid GATE score are exempted from the entrance test, and weightage is given to GATE scores while preparing the merit list.
• Eligibility Criteria:For B.Tech programs, applicants should have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Computer Application.
• Counseling:Candidates must meet the cut-off to appear for counseling for B.Tech admission. Candidates have to appear for WBJEE counseling (for B.Tech) and WB PGET counseling (for M.Tech) for seat allotment.
• Merit List and Seat Allotment: A merit list is released after the declaration of results. Seats are allotted based on entrance test scores, preferences, and seat availability.
• Final Admission: To confirm admission, candidates must submit required documents and pay the fees.
