Matoshri College of Engineering & Research Centre (MCERC), Nashik, established in 2008, is a premier private technical institution affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and approved by the AICTE. Admission Process

Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate technical courses at MCERC is conducted primarily through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) managed by the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Government of Maharashtra.

• Online Registration: Candidates must register on the official DTE Maharashtra/CET Cell portal (cetcell.mahacet.org). During registration, candidates choose the mode of scrutiny (e-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny) to verify their documents.

• Merit-Based Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit lists published by the State CET Cell, which incorporate scores from entrance examinations (e.g., MHT-CET, JEE Main, GATE, MAH-MCA-CET).

• Option Filling: After the merit list is published, candidates must submit and confirm their preferred college and course options via their login credentials.

• Seat Confirmation: Upon allotment in any CAP round, candidates must accept the seat online and report to the institute to pay the admission fees and submit the required original documents for final verification.

• Management Quota: A percentage of seats are filled at the institute level under the management quota, governed by guidelines set by the State CET Cell.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requirements are strictly in accordance with the norms prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.

• Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech): Candidates must have passed the HSC (10+2) examination or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or technical vocational subjects. A minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for reserved categories/PWD) is required. Valid scores in MHT-CET or JEE Main are mandatory.

• Postgraduate (MCA): Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline (with Mathematics at the 10+2 or graduation level) from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved categories). A valid score in MAH-MCA-CET is required.

• Postgraduate (M.E./M.Tech): Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from an AICTE-approved institution with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). A valid GATE score is preferred.
