National Council For Hotel Management And Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Application/Admission Process

Admission to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (HHA) program, regulated by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), is a centralized process based on the NCHMCT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).

As of May 2026, the examination has been conducted, results have been declared, and the counselling process is currently underway.

1. Admission Pathway

Entrance Exam: Admission is strictly based on your All India Rank (AIR) obtained in the NCHMCT JEE, which was held on April 25, 2026.
Centralized Counselling: There are no interviews or group discussions. You must participate in the web-based online counselling process hosted on the official NCHMCT portal to secure a seat in any of the participating Central, State, or private Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs).

2. Current Counselling Schedule (2026)

If you have qualified for the exam, you must follow the active counselling schedule:

Registration & Choice Filling (Round 1): June 1 to June 4, 2026.
Seat Allotment (Round 1): June 6, 2026.
Document Upload & Fee Payment: June 7 to June 9, 2026.
Final Round Registration & Choice Filling: June 12 to June 14, 2026.
Physical Reporting: Final physical reporting at the allotted institute is scheduled between June 20 and July 24, 2026.

3. How to Participate in Counselling

Visit the Portal: Go to the official NCHMCT Counselling Website.
Registration: Register as a new candidate using your NCHMCT JEE roll number and application details.
Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable counselling registration fee of Rs.2,000.
Choice Filling: Log in to select and "lock" your preferred IHMs and courses. Be strategic, as seat allotment is based on your AIR and the choices you submit.
Seat Acceptance: If allotted a seat, you must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) of Rs. 20,000 and upload the required documents (Class 10/12 mark sheets, category certificates, NCHMCT JEE scorecard, etc.) within the specified window.
Reporting: After the final round of allotment, you must physically report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formalities and document verification.

4. Important Documents Required

Keep the following documents ready for verification:

NCHMCT JEE 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard.
Class 10 (Date of Birth proof) and Class 12 mark sheets/passing certificates.
Category certificate (if applicable: SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
Medical Certificate (standard format provided by NCHMCT).
Provisional seat allotment letter (downloadable after seat allocation)
