Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) is a renowned public university located in Tirupati, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 1954 by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. This University was named after Lord Venkateswara, a form of the Hindu god Vishnu, who is enshrined in the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, located on the Tirumala hills near Tirupati.

SVU is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' grade. It is ranked 1201–1500 in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings of 2023.
