The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), established in the year 1946, today stands one among top engineering colleges in the country that include IITs and NITs. It is ranked 9th among South India's top Private Engineering Colleges and also 17th rank across  India , as per survey conducted by The Week 2025.As per the survey of outlook magzine 2025 NIE stands at 11th rank among all India Private Institutions.NIE is an autonomous institution under VTU and approved by the Univercity Garants commission (UGC) and AICTE. NIE is also accredited by NAAC . All Undergraduate Programmes and three PG Programmes have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, under Tier-I .Faculty has been the main strength of NIE. They impart vast knowledge to the students by using contemporery methods of teaching-learning process, Digital education and skill development . Diploma Engineering Rs. 97,440.00 generally requires a 10+2 qualification with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and a minimum aggregate score, often 50% or more
MS Engineering Rs. 1,67,000.00 you generally need a B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized university with a minimum required percentage or CGPA, and you may need a valid GATE score for admission
MCA Computers Rs. 1,99,910.00 Candidates who have done their BCA, BBA or B.Tech with 60% can apply. These students must have studied Mathematics as a subject in class 10+2.

My college is overall the best may it be in academics, placement ,sports and extra curricular activities. The infrastructure is really good and also the teaching techniques and overall development in the college is up to the mark. Teaching is excellent and more practical.

The college is very nice when it comes to placements with an overall average of 9lpa and an average of around 12.85 of cse and 12.65 of ise. The campus is quite small -25acres but the weather is very nice here. Teachers are nice and cooperative internships are also provided.
