UCEED 2019: Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay conducts UCEED under direction of the UCEED Admissions Committee 2019. The online application will be welcomed on the official gateway of IIT Bombay. Till 2016, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur offered admission to applicants in BDes programs on the premise of UCEED score. In any case, from 2017 onwards two more universities, i.e. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) and Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar likewise began tolerating UCEED scores for affirmation.

UCEED 2019 Notification

Application form of UCEED 2019 will be available online from October 9 onwards. And the entrance test will be a computer based test and it will be held on 19th January 2019.

UCEED 2019 Application Form

UCEED 2019 application form will be released on 9th October 2018. Candidates have to complete the following steps to successfully apply for UCEED 2019:

Step 1: UCEED 2019 online registration

Step 2: Filling up of personal details, academic qualification, exam cities choices etc in UCEED application form.

Step 3: Uploading of scanned copies of coloured passport sized photograph, signature, reserved category document, qualifying examination certificate etc.

Step 4:  Payment of the requisite application fee in online mode.

UCEED 2019 Eligibility

Age Limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1994 if belonging to the OPEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1989, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Number of Attempts:

A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Note that UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the corresponding academic year.

Qualifying Examination:

The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2018, OR appearing in 2019. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2017 or earlier are NOT eligible

UCEED 2019 Exam Pattern

  • There will be ONE question paper for 3 hours duration.
  • The question paper will be in English.
  • The question paper will be administered through a computer-based test.
  • The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.
  • The question paper will consist of 3 sections.

UCEED 2019 Admit Cards

  • Candidates who will complete all the aspects of the application form will be issued UCEED 2019 admit card on 1st January, 2019.
  • The admit card will bear the following details of the candidate: Name, UCEED registration ID, Roll Number for UCEED 2019, photograph, signature, examination schedule, examination centre details and instructions to candidates.
  • Candidates should carefully examine the entries in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy, contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced), UCEED & CEED 2019 at IIT Bombay before the date mentioned in the registration portal.
  • A printed copy of the downloaded admits card should be produced at the time of examination.

UCEED 2019 Results

  • The result of UCEED 2019 will be declared on March 2019. UCEED results will be available on the website. Candidates need to use their user login and password (created during registration process) for viewing the results on the webpage.
  • UCEED qualified students will be able to download their score cards from 1st March 2019.
  • Hard copy of the UCEED score card will not be available and hence will not be sent to the qualified candidates.
  • Obtaining a rank in UCEED 2019 does not guarantee admission to the B. Des programme.

UCEED 2019 Counselling

  • The counselling and seat allotment of UCEED will be conducted in three rounds. To participate in the counselling process, candidates have to register for admission which will start from June 8 to 23, 2019.
  • Candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, category, choice preference and availability of seats. Students shortlisted for admission will be sent provisional allotment letter to the registered email ID.
  • Candidates who have been offered seats have to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 60,000 within the given period of time.

Candidates who haven’t started their preparation still have enough time to kick start it and get ready to score well in the exam. Here are a few tips for UCEED exam preparation 2019:

  • Manage your time effectively. Remember time once gone cannot be returned. So make sure you don’t waste even a single minute on unnecessary activities.
  • Make a study schedule and follow it strictly. It will help you distribute your time well for all topics and other activities.
  • Solve as many sample papers as you can. This will not just help you get a better idea of the type of questions asked in UCEED but will also help you get comfortable.
