NMIMS NDAT Application Process

The application for NMIMS NDAT (Design Aptitude Test) 2027 for admission into the 4-year B.Des (Humanising Technology) program at the NMIMS School of Design, Mumbai, is conducted completely online.

Steps of application process

Step 1: Online Registration

  1. Visit the official portal: ndat.nmims.edu.

  2. Click on 'Apply Now' / 'New Candidate Registration'.

  3. Enter primary details: Full Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, and Password.

  4. Verify your account using the OTP / activation link sent to your registered email or phone.

Step 2: Fill Personal & Academic Details

  1. Log in to the portal using your credentials.

  2. Personal Information: Fill in parent/guardian details, permanent address, gender, category, and date of birth.

  3. Academic Qualifications: Enter Class 10 and Class 12 board details, passing year, marks obtained, and school name. (Students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2027 can select 'Appearing').

  4. UCEED Exemption Option (if applicable): Select whether you are applying through a valid UCEED 2027 score to claim exemption from the Studio Test.

Step 3: Document Uploads

Upload clear, scanned copies of required documents in the prescribed format (JPG/JPEG/PDF):

  • Recent passport-size photograph

  • Candidate's signature

  • Class 10 Marksheet / Passing Certificate

  • Class 12 Marksheet (if available)

  • Valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport)

  • UCEED 2027 Scorecard (if claiming exemption)

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

  • Pay the non-refundable registration fee through the online payment gateway:

    • Application Fee: Rs.2,000 (via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI).

  • Once successfully paid, download and save the transaction receipt.

Step 5: Final Submission & Confirmation

  1. Preview all details in the application form carefully before submitting, as key entries cannot be edited post-payment.

  2. Click on 'Submit' and download the completed application form.

  3. Keep a printed physical copy for future reference during the portfolio review and interview rounds.

Documents Required for Final Admission Verification

  • Class 10th & Class 12th Marksheets & Passing Certificates

  • IB Diploma Transcripts & Credit Certificate (for IB board candidates)

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) & Conduct Certificate

  • Photo ID Proof & Address Proof

  • Digital Portfolio (5–10 pages PDF)
