NMIMS NDAT Eligibility Criteria

Here are the detailed eligibility criteria for NMIMS NDAT 2027 for admission into the 4-year B.Des (Humanising Technology) program offered at the NMIMS School of Design, Mumbai campus:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities).

  • Minimum Aggregate Marks: A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Class 12.

  • Single Attempt Rule: A single mark sheet with all compulsory subjects opted for and passed will be considered. Candidates with any ungraded or failed subjects on their final mark sheet are not eligible.

2. International Baccalaureate (IB) Criteria

  • Candidates holding an IB Diploma are eligible only if they have cleared their IB exam with a minimum of 24 total compulsory credits.

  • Must have passed at least 3 Higher Level (HL) and 3 Standard Level (SL) subjects mandatorily.

  • IB Certificate & DP awarded candidates are generally not eligible unless meeting full credit requirements.

3. Age Limit

  • Candidates must not be more than 25 years of age at the time of admission.

4. Appearing / Provisional Candidates

  • Students currently appearing for their Class 12 final examinations in 2027 are eligible to apply provisionally.

  • Final admission will be subject to meeting the minimum 50% aggregate condition upon the declaration of results.

5. UCEED Exemption Clause

  • Candidates who have appeared and qualified with a valid score in UCEED 2027 are exempted from appearing in the NMIMS DAT Studio Test.

  • Such candidates can directly submit their creative portfolio and attend the Personal Interview (PI) round for evaluation.
