SRIHER, Chennai – Scholarships

Scholarship and other funding support offered by SRIHER Deemed to be University, Chennai are tabulated below:

Founder-Chancellor Merit-cum-Means Scholarship	Meritorious students from poor financial backgrounds. Must have passed the qualifying examination in one attempt and applicable to UG Paramedical from II year onwards. An income certificate is required.	Quantum not available
Founder-Chancellor Cash Award (Every year)	For students who obtain the highest marks in the first-year University Examinations of all UG programs	This is a cash award and shall be issued during the University Day celebrations
Hospital ward Technician Course	Granted to students for a period of one year. Students must have passed SSC/Intermediate (10+2) with Science subjects or Nursing Vocational Stream.	No tuition fee is payable. A stipend for one year shall be paid.
Chancellor Under Graduate Summer Research Fellowships	UG Students of all disciplines for 75 Summer Research Fellowships annually allotted for a duration of 3 months. The distribution is MBBS=30, BDS=20 and all other UGs=25	Each UG fellow shall be provided with a grant (quantum not mentioned)
Chancellor’s Post-graduate Dissertation/Project Subsidy Scheme.	All PGs of all the Faculties who are required to carry out a research dissertation/research project in partial fulfillment for the award of their PG Degree are eligible under this scheme.	Each candidate would be provided with a subsidy up to Rs.25,000/-towards investigations/Project expenditures.
Founder-Chancellor Fellowships for Ph.D Students.	Candidates registered for the Ph.D Programmes of the various Faculties as per regulations of the University must appear for the All India level Entrance Test conducted by the University and scholarship under this scheme shall be granted on the merit scored in the Entrance Test.	Each fellowship carries Rs.12,000/- per month for a duration of 3 years with a contingency grant of Rs.25,000/- per annum.
Publication Support Grant	All Ph.D Scholars, PG/UG students, whose manuscripts are accepted in indexed journals with Impact Factor for publication are eligible.	Only Printing Charges on actuals shall be granted through reimbursement.
