Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) offers various scholarships and fellowships to students pursuing higher education. TIFR is financed by the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India, and a minimal or no fee is charged for the courses offered.
Ph.D. students receive a monthly fellowship of INR 31,000/- which has been recently increased to INR 35,000/- after registration.
International Ph.D. students receive a monthly fellowship of INR 21,000/- for the first year, which is increased to INR 31,000/- per month after one year and INR 35,000/- after registration for Ph.D.
