Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmadabad (MICA) conducts MICA Admissions Test for admission to PGDBM-C programme equivalent to an MBA with specializations in Marketing Research, Digital Communication Management, Brand Management, Media Management and Advertising. Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmadabad (MICA) is an AICTE approved specialized institute offering strategic management and communication courses. MICAT is conducted twice a year. MICAT 1 will be conducted on December 01, 2018 and MICAT 2 will be conducted February 04, 2019.

MICAT 2 will be conducted on February 09, 2019. The application process of MICAT 2 will begin from January 3, and will end on January 30, 2019. Hall ticket of MICAT 2019 will be issued on February 9. Declaration date of MICAT 2 result is February 19. The Final result will be declared on March 31. MICAT is a national level entrance examination which will be conducted in computer based mode. It will be conducted around 27 cities across the country. A large number of students will appear for the exam.

MICAT 2019 Application Form

The registration process for MICAT 2019 will be as follows. The process of MICAT 2019 will be commenced in online mode only. All the applicants will not be able to send their application in any other mode. The process for MICAT 1 has begun from the 23rd August of 2018. According to the official information, the MICAT 2 will begin from the 3rd January of 2019. All the aspirants are advised to fill the application form before the last date. MICAT 2019 application form comprised four steps.

MICAT 2019 Application Fee

The application for every candidate will be same and that will be rupees 1965/-. All the aspirants will be able to submit the fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ DD (Demand Draft)/ Cash Payment at Counter or Office of MICA.

MICAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying for MICAT 2019 must meet educational MICAT Eligibility Criteria requirements laid down by the exam conducting authority. The educational MICAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidate must have completed his or her bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • He or she must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education in the format of 10+2+3.
  • The graduation degree in any stream will be considered valid
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply for MICAT 2019
  • Candidate should have valid score in anyone of the following entrance exam namely CAT 2016, XAT 2018 and GMAT (2012 onwards).
  • Foreign Nationals and NRI category candidates are eligible only if they have a valid foreign passport along with valid GMAT/XAT/CAT scores. They can apply under the foreign nationals’ category.

MICAT 2019 Exam Pattern

The MICAT 2019 will be commenced in online mode as a CBT (Computer Based Test). MICAT 2019 Syllabus

MICAT syllabus comprises topics from Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, Divergent-Convergent Reasoning and descriptive test. Verbal Ability questions are based on word combination, sentence correction, idioms, analogies, synonyms, antonyms etc. In Quantitative Ability, section questions are asked from arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics etc. General Awareness questions are based on advertising, marketing, politics, geography, current affairs, sports etc.

MICAT 2019 Admit Card

MICA will issue admit card of MICAT II 2019 exam on 9th February 2019. MICAT admit card will be issued to only those candidates who will successfully register for the exam. To download admit card candidates have to enter their registration and application number.  MICAT admit card have candidates name, roll number, examination venue, photo and signature and exam day instructions.

MICAT 2019 Result

The result of MICAT I has been declared by MICA. The MICAT II result will be announced on February 19.  Candidates need to check their result online by entering user id and password. In case, candidates who appears both for MICAT I and MICAT II, the better of the two scores will be considered. On the basis of MICAT 2019 result, the candidates are shortlisted for the next rounds of selection that comprise Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). The final MICAT result will be announced after the completion of GE/ PI.

MICAT 2019 Counselling

The selection procedure of MICAT 2019 can be divided into three parts -

  • First, the candidates must appear for CAT/ XAT/ GMAT exam. Only the candidates who have appeared for one of these exams are eligible for MICAT.
  • The second stage comprises MICAT 2019 exam. To appear for this exam, the candidates must fill and submit the application form within the specified dates.
  • In the third stage, Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) will be conducted. For GE and PI, the candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of MICAT 2019 scores.
  • After the completion of the above-mentioned steps, the final result will be declared and the successful candidates will be allotted seats in the Post Graduate Diploma in Management Communications (PGDM-C) offered by MICA. Approximately 1/10th of the total number of candidates who appears in the two MICATs will be shortlisted for GE & PI based on the total scaled scores.

MICAT cutoff 2019

MICAT cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that should score to be eligible for next stage of selection process. The examination authority does not release the cutoff. Candidates who will qualify the psychometric test shall be assessed for the various MICAT sections. The Descriptive Tests will be evaluated if the candidates secure minimum cutoff in these sections. Candidates securing the cutoff in Descriptive Test (DT) will be considered for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Candidates can check below MICAT 2019 expected cutoff.
