IIT Jodhpur Invites Applications For Post-Doctoral Fellowship
IIT Jodhpur has announced an invitation for applications for Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDFs) aimed at research and teaching roles. The eligibility criteria include Indian nationals, foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) with a distinguished academic background, significant research accomplishments, and relevant industrial experience. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online along with necessary documents. The application deadline is set for September 30, 2026. Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 80,000, in addition to an annual contingency grant of Rs 50,000.
Selected candidates under the IIT Jodhpur Post-Doctoral Fellowship scheme will receive a lucrative financial package:
Monthly Stipend: A consolidated fellowship of Rs.80,000 per month.
Contingency Grant: An annual research contingency grant of Rs.50,000 to support academic expenses, material procurement, and conference participation.
Accommodation: Campus hostel accommodation is available on a payment basis, subject to availability.
To be eligible for the post-doctoral positions, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a PhD degree with a first-class or equivalent academic record in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution. Individuals who have formally submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible to apply, provided they produce their provisional degree certificate within three months of appointment.
Nationality: Indian nationals, foreign nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) are eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Applicants should preferably be 35 years of age or younger. A relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for women and reserved category candidates.
The fellowship spans a diverse spectrum of disciplines, including:
Engineering and Technology fields (such as Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.)
Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Management and Entrepreneurship
Liberal Arts, Humanities, and Design
