NIMCET 2026 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for NIMCET 2026.

2. Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree Requirement:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration (such as B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons), BCA, or BIT) from a recognized university with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects.
• Alternatively, candidates with a B.E. or B.Tech. degree from a recognized university/institution are also eligible.

Open/Distance University Candidates:

• Degrees obtained from Open Universities are valid only if the program is approved by UGC/AICTE/DEC

3. Minimum Marks Required

• General/OBC/EWS: Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree.
• SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale

4. Appearing Candidates

• Final-year students who are appearing for their qualifying exam in 2026 are eligible to apply.
