Sarala Birla University (SBU) is a self-financed private university in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand established the university in 2017 by virtue of the Sarala Birla University Act. 2017. Its campus stretches over nearly 60 acres of land owned by Bharat Arogya & Gyan Mandir.

The minimum educational requirements shall be 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy) and English Core/ English Elective or Science or Health Care Science- Vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board.
The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination of any recognized Board in India with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwD) in English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics.
