Eligibility Criteria and Process of Admission in Top Medical Colleges, Kerala.

  • A citizen of India
  • OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) candidates are also eligible subject to fulfilment of requirements as may be specified from time to time.
  • Domicile rule (Local/Non-local) applicable.
  • 85% of the seats are reserved for Local candidates of Kerala and the remaining 15% for non-local candidates.
  • Must have passed 12th Class or 2 years Intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as the major subjects with at least 50% of marks for general candidates and relaxation up to 40% allowed for reserved candidates.
  • While there is no upper age limit for applying for admission, candidates need to complete at least 17 years of age as of the date of application.
  • Must have qualified in NEET (UG) and register for NEET Counselling before the stipulated date. NTA (National Testing Agency) will announce the dates for counseling soon after the declaration of NEET (UG) results.
  • 15% of the All India Quota shall be filled through MCC with qualified NEET candidates. 85% of the State Quota of Kerala shall be filled through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala.
  • The counseling for the Medical & Dental program in Kerala NEET UG shall be conducted by the “COMMISSIONER FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, KERALA”. Counseling will be conducted for the 85% Government & 100% Private Medical & Dental seats.
  • The Kerala MBBS/BDS admission process commences soon after the release of NEET (UG) results. Candidates can register for the MBBS/BDS admission process on the official website online.
