Mumbai, October 2026: Samar Malhotra, a Semester V B.Tech. Data Science student at SVKM’s NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME), has secured the No. 2 ranking in India in padel. With five national titles to his credit, Samar also represented India at the APPC 2026 in the Philippines, where the Indian team won a bronze medal.
Samar’s achievements reflect his dedication to the sport and the consistent effort he has put into his game. His five national-level titles mark important milestones in his journey, while representing India at an international competition has added another significant achievement to his sporting career.
As padel continues to gain popularity in India, young players like Samar are helping the sport grow through their participation in national and international competitions. Alongside his sporting commitments, Samar continues to pursue his B.Tech. in Data Science at MPSTME, NMIMS. Balancing academics with competitive sport requires focus, time management and consistency.
