NIFT 2026 (APPLICATION FORM)

The NIFT 2026 application process is conducted entirely online and is open to candidates seeking admission to B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and MFM programs. The NIFT 2026 application form will be released online—expectedly in November or December 2025—on the official NIFT or NTA exam portals. Candidates aspiring to enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate courses at NIFT must first check and fulfill the eligibility criteria—mainly concerning age and academic qualifications. The NIFT registration deadline is typically in the first week of January 2026, with an extended window (incurring a late fee) available for a few extra days afterward.

Steps of NIFT 2026 Application Process

Here’s a step-by-step guide

  1. Registration
  • Visit the official NIFT website: nift.ac.in.
    • Click on the application link and enter your AADHAR number to create a login ID.
    • Provide your parent’s name, email ID, and mobile number.
    • After submission, you’ll receive an acknowledgment on your registered email. These details cannot be changed later.
  1. Fill the Application Form
    • Log in with your credentials.
    • Enter personal details (name, gender, nationality, domicile, address, etc.).
    • Select your preferred test center (city).
    • Provide academic qualifications and course preferences.
    • Fill in other required information as prompted.
  2. Upload Documents
    • Upload a recent passport-size color photograph (jpeg, max 100KB).
    • Upload your signature (blue/black ink on white background, jpeg, max 100KB).
    • Upload category or PwD certificates if applicable.
    • Ensure all documents are clear and in the specified format.
  3. Pay the Application Fee
    • Pay the fee online via credit/debit card or net banking.
    • General / OBC-NCL / EWS: Rs 3,000 per programme (Rs 4,500 for 2 programmes)
    • SC / ST / PwD: Rs 1,500 per programme (Rs 2,250 for 2 programmes)
  1. Submit and Print Confirmation
    • Review all details before final submission.
    • Submit the application and save/print the confirmation page for your records.

Application Correction Window

  • A limited edit window to correct select details opens in mid-January (2nd–3rd week), allowing updates only to specific fields like personal info, signature, category, etc. Test centre cannot be changed.
  • No edits are allowed once payment is completed and correction window closes. Incomplete or incorrect submissions may lead to rejection without refund.

Ques.2 What is the last date to apply for NIFT 2026?

Ans: The last date to apply without late fee will be around 1st week of January 2026. With a late fee (usually Rs 5,000), applications may be accepted until the 2nd week of January 2026.

However, test centre and programme applied for cannot be changed.
