NEW DELHI — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the timetable for the Class 12 Special Examinations 2026 catering specifically to candidates enrolled across West Asian countries. The five-day examination schedule will run from October 23 to October 28, 2026, covering papers that could not be conducted during the initial March–April main examination session.
According to the board notification posted on its official portal (cbse.gov.in), admit cards for the upcoming examinations will be available for download starting October 12, 2026.
The decision follows CBSE's earlier circular (Ref: CBSE/COORD/EXAMS/WAC/2026/1606, dated September 15, 2026). Eligible candidates located across seven West Asian nations—including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)—were requested to submit their List of Candidates (LOC) by September 26, 2026.
Key criteria and highlights specified by the board include:
Target Group: Only candidates whose main 2026 examination results were declared under a specialized assessment scheme for deferred papers, and who submitted their LOC application within the deadline, are permitted to appear.
No Additional Fee: No examination fee has been levied for these special sessions.
Finality of Results: Marks obtained in these special written examinations will replace the previous evaluation scores allocated under the assessment scheme.
Exam Centres: Examination centres in the respective countries remain fixed as designated in the LOC filing.
The examinations will be held in offline mode starting daily at 10:30 AM. While the majority of core academic papers carry a standard duration of 3 hours (10:30 AM – 1:30 PM), select skill and vocational subjects are scheduled for 2 hours (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM). There will be no examination on Sunday, October 25.
